SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Carl Richardson, who passed away on March 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, John Richardson was born on August 9, 1937 in Chicago; his parents were John Joseph and Alice (nee Matthews) Richardson; he married Carole S. (nee Schneider) Richardson on April 19, 1959 in Alton; and

WHEREAS, John Richardson retired from the Madison County Assessor's Office after 30 years of dedicated service as a field supervisor; he also worked in the photography department at Graham's Bookstore in Granite City for many years; and

WHEREAS, John Richardson's love in life was photography; he was the photographer for numerous occasions and events throughout the years and also for many years at local race track events; he was also a member of the Odd Fellows and enjoyed his days of fishing, hunting, and watching racing; and

WHEREAS, John Richardson was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Richardson; and

WHEREAS, John Richardson is survived by his beloved wife, Carole; a daughter, Deborah Stauffer; a son, John C. Richardson, III; his grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and Keith Perigo, Brittni Richardson, Jessica Lloyd, Chris and Erin Stauffer, and Andrea Stauffer; 4 great-grandchildren, Rylee Perigo, Anderson John Perigo, Madison Stauffer, and Taylor Stauffer; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sadie and Arthur Lewis, Lola and Lyndall Newell, and Lucinda Richardson; a sister-in-law, Nancy Richardson; his many nieces and nephews; and his many other extended family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of John Carl Richardson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Richardson as an expression of our sympathy.
