AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2475

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2475 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The State Treasurer Act is amended by adding Section 16.6 as follows:

(15 ILCS 505/16.6 new)

Sec. 16.6. Achieving a Better Life Experience Account Program. The State Treasurer may establish and administer an Illinois "Achieving a Better Life Experience" or "ABLE" savings account program for the purpose of empowering individuals with a disability and their families to save private funds to maintain health, independence, and quality of life, and to provide secure funding for disability-related expenses.".
