| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Harold L. Pruitt of Carlinville, who | 4 | | passed away on July 18, 2010; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born on June 8, 1926 in Neosha, Missouri, | 6 | | the son of William Egbert and Helen Juanita (Stanley) Pruitt; | 7 | | and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, He served in the Merchant Marines during World War | 9 | | II, transporting troops; he married Juanita E. "Nita" (Watkins) | 10 | | in Wichita, Kansas on October 20, 1944; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, He worked for Valley Steel and Central Illinois | 12 | | Steel Company, both in Carlinville, as a salesman; he was a | 13 | | member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church in rural Raymond; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife; and his | 15 | | infant brother, Kenneth; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Harold Pruitt is survived by his son, Gary Pruitt | 17 | | (Susan); his daughter, Gloria Suter (Jim); his grandchildren, | 18 | | Paul Rutter, Michelle Johnson (Wayne), Harold Pruitt (Lynn), | 19 | | and David Pruitt (Karen); his five great-grandchildren; and his | 20 | | great-great-grandchild; therefore, be it
