AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2970

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2970 on page 8, 
3
line 11, after the period, by inserting the following:
4
    "For the purposes of this item (11), "community service" 
5
    means any activity that (i) improves the social welfare of 
6
    the community and (ii) is performed within the community  by 
7
    the faculty, staff, or students of the  academic institution 
8
    of learning at no cost or profit to the institution.".
