AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 354

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 354 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding Section 7-10.4 as follows:

(10 ILCS 5/7-10.4 new)

Sec. 7-10.4. Candidate for Governor; budget submission. Each candidate for Governor shall submit his or her version of the State budget for the upcoming fiscal year to the State Board of Elections on the same day that the Governor submits his or her budget to the General Assembly as required by the State Budget Law. A candidate's budget shall conform to the requirements set forth in the State Budget Law. A candidate's budget shall be balanced based on detailed revenue estimates submitted by the candidate. A candidate shall submit his or her budget in electronic form to the State Board of Elections. The Board shall post the candidate's budget on its website under the name of the candidate.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
