1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 259
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 259, on page 5,
3 line 13, after "practices", by inserting the following:
4 "consistent with the United States Environmental Protection
5 Agency guidance document identified in subsection (a)"; and

6 on page 9, by replacing lines 6 through 11 with the following:

7 "Section 40. Home rule. The regulation and licensing of
8 firearms and ammunition use at sport shooting and training
9 ranges, including the environmental effects of projectile
10 deposition at sport shooting and training ranges are exclusive
11 powers and functions of the State. A home rule unit may not
12 regulate or license firearms and ammunition use at sport
13 shooting and training ranges, including the environmental
14 effects of projectile deposition at sport shooting and training
15 ranges. This Section is a denial and limitation of home rule
16 powers and functions under subsection (h) of Section 6 of
