SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Timothy "Tim" Kangas of Beach Park, who passed away on September 29, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Tim was born February 21, 1959 in Waukegan and had lived in various locations throughout the United States, including Florida and Texas, before settling back in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, He attended St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukegan and was a Superintendent for Kangas Construction, a company owned by the late Antti Kangas, his father; and

WHEREAS, Tim was an avid pool player, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved animals; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Jari Myllymaki; and his parents, Antti and Meeri (nee Ukkonen) Kangas; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Kangas is survived by his two daughters, Rita Kangas and Meeri Kangas; his sister, Lise Myllymaki; his dear friend, Mario Garza; his nephews, Anthony and Steven Myllymaki; his ex-wife, Edna Kangas; his dear companion, Peach; and various cousins in Finland, Germany, Illinois, and South Dakota; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Timothy Kangas; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Timothy Kangas as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
