20 ILCS 1810/1   from Ch. 129, par. 222a

    Amends the Military Property Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the conveyance and use of military property.

1     AN ACT concerning the military.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Military Property Act is amended by changing
5 Section 1 as follows:
 
6     (20 ILCS 1810/1)  (from Ch. 129, par. 222a)
7     Sec. 1. The The Adjutant General, on behalf of the State of
8 Illinois, is authorized to accept conveyance of all right,
9 title and interest of the United States in and to any real
10 property useful to the State of Illinois for military purposes.
11 Such conveyance may be accepted subject to any one or all of
12 the following conditions:
13     (a) that title to such property will revert to the United
14 States if and when the property is no longer used for the
15 training of the National Guard or other military purposes,
16 unless other use by this State is authorized by the federal
17 government;
18     (b) that buildings or other improvements on the property at
19 the time of conveyance will not be disposed of without approval
20 of the federal government;
21     (c) that the United States may, in the event of a declared
22 war, use such property without charge for the duration of such
23 war and six months thereafter, except that the United States

1 shall, during the period of such use, maintain the property and
2 pay a fair rental for the use of structures or other
3 improvements which have been added thereto without federal aid.
