AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 605-965 as follows:

(20 ILCS 605/605-965 new)

Sec. 605-965. Grant award database. The Department shall establish and maintain an electronic searchable database that provides information regarding grants that are awarded by the Department. The database must be available to the public on the Department's Internet website. The database must contain all of the following information with respect to each grant that is awarded by the Department:

(1) the name and address of the grantee;

(2) the amount of the grant;

(3) the purpose of the grant; and

(4) the House and Senate legislative district in which the address of the grantee is located.
