SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 4005/12

    Amends the Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act. Repeals the Act on January 1, 2012 (now, 2008). Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act
5 is amended by changing Section 12 as follows:

6     (20 ILCS 4005/12)
7     Sec. 12. Sections 1 through 9 and Section 11 are repealed
8 January 1, 2012~~2008~~.

10     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
11 becoming law.
