SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 5/34-18.34 new

Amends the School Code. Requires the Chicago Board of Education to develop a plan for implementing a program that seeks to establish common bonds between youth of various backgrounds and ethnicities, which must be similar to that of the Challenge Day organization.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 34-18.34 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/34-18.34 new)

Sec. 34-18.34. Youth program. The board shall develop a plan for implementing a program that seeks to establish common bonds between youth of various backgrounds and ethnicities, which must be similar to that of the Challenge Day organization.
