SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

730 ILCS 125/2   from Ch. 75, par. 102

    Amends the County Jail Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the sheriff as warden of the jail.

1     AN ACT concerning criminal law.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The County Jail Act is amended by changing
5 Section 2 as follows:

6     (730 ILCS 125/2)  (from Ch. 75, par. 102)
7     Sec. 2. The~~The~~ Sheriff of each county in this State shall
8 be the warden of the jail of the county, and have the custody
9 of all prisoners in the jail, except when otherwise provided in
10 the "County Department of Corrections Act".
