AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3443

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3443 on page 2, by replacing lines 5 through 33 with the following: "provided.

The standards must include a provision that permits any person who would otherwise qualify for community care services except for the fact that he or she possesses nonexempt assets in excess of any maximum asset limitations set by Department rule to qualify for the community care services by entering into an agreement with the Department regarding the person's responsibility for payment for the costs of the community care services, taking into consideration the amount of the excess assets. The Department must adopt rules to administer the provisions of this paragraph, including rules concerning the terms and conditions of any agreement by which a person must pay for services.".
