| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jay A. Hageman of Fairmount, who passed | 4 | | away on October 9, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jay Hageman was born in Danville to Joseph and | 6 | | Dolores Messman Hageman on January 30, 1952; he graduated from | 7 | | the University of Illinois and married Tracy Miller in Sidell | 8 | | on November 24, 1974; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jay Hageman operated a farming business, EAgCo, | 10 | | and was the owner of Honest Abe Insurance in Newman; he was a | 11 | | director for the Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative and a | 12 | | member of the Vermilion County Farm Bureau; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jay Hageman was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran | 14 | | Church in Broadlands, where he served on many committees and | 15 | | was a longtime Sunday school teacher; he was a member of the | 16 | | Sidell Lions Club; he was a supporter of the Cunningham | 17 | | Children's Home and enjoyed having them out to the farm; his | 18 | | greatest joy was spending quality time with his grandchildren; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Jay Hageman was preceded in death by his parents; | 21 | | his mother-in-law, Barb Miller; and his brother-in-law, Doug |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Jay Hageman is survived by his wife, Tracy; his | 3 | | daughter, Jenny (Chris) Kirschner; his grandchildren, Dylan | 4 | | and Hadley Kirschner; his sisters, Connie Chew, Karen (Barry) | 5 | | Maddox, and Linda (Brent) Winninger; his sister-in-law, Dede | 6 | | (Don) Heidbreder; his father-in-law, Robert Miller; and | 7 | | numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Jay A. Hageman and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
