SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marjorie R. Reynolds of Nokomis, who passed away on November 2, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds was born in Rountree Township to Olin and Mae (Bote) Snyder on February 13, 1922; she graduated from Robert Morris Business College and married Harold Reynolds; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds was a switchboard operator and a farm wife; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; she was a member of Witt Methodist Church and a hospital volunteer; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds was preceded in death by her parents; her grandchildren, Jill Noel Sommers, and Jae Sommers; her sisters, Barbara Falkner, and Hazel Furnes; and her brothers, Lynn Snyder, and Wayne Snyder; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds is survived by her children, Georgia Sue (Gerald) Sommers, Debby Marie Farrell, Kristine (John) Paniere, Bonnie Beth (Lynn) Haines, and Kelly (Twila) Reynolds; her grandchildren, Heidi (Greg) Burwell, Deron (Joan) Sommers, Tori Sommers, Rhett (Lana) Farrell, Holly (Derek) Busboom, Bart (Jackie) Slaymaker, Brooke (Craig) Gonet, Whitney (Mike) Peebles, Troy Haines, Kristopher (Jodi) Reynolds, and Kree (Justin) Kirk; her 25 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce (Hal) Kirk; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marjorie R. Reynolds, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marjorie Reynolds as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
