SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marjorie R. Reynolds of Nokomis, who
4passed away on November 2, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds was born in Rountree Township to
6Olin and Mae (Bote) Snyder on February 13, 1922; she graduated
7from Robert Morris Business College and married Harold
8Reynolds; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds was a switchboard operator and a
10farm wife; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds enjoyed cooking, baking,
12gardening, and spending time with her children, grandchildren,
13and great-grandchildren; she was a member of Witt Methodist
14Church and a hospital volunteer; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds was preceded in death by her
16parents; her grandchildren, Jill Noel Sommers, and Jae Sommers;
17her sisters, Barbara Falkner, and Hazel Furnes; and her
18brothers, Lynn Snyder, and Wayne Snyder; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Marjorie Reynolds is survived by her children,
20Georgia Sue (Gerald) Sommers, Debby Marie Farrell, Kristine

1(John) Paniere, Bonnie Beth (Lynn) Haines, and Kelly (Twila)
2Reynolds; her grandchildren, Heidi (Greg) Burwell, Deron

4(Derek) Busboom, Bart (Jackie) Slaymaker, Brooke (Craig)
5Gonet, Whitney (Mike) Peebles, Troy Haines, Kristopher (Jodi)
6Reynolds, and Kree (Justin) Kirk; her 25 great-grandchildren;
7and her sister, Joyce (Hal) Kirk; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Marjorie R. Reynolds, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Marjorie Reynolds as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
