SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Beth Kuehnel of East Alton, who passed away on June 25, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Kuehnel was born in Equality to William T. and Myrtle Hannah (Martin) Finn on October 26, 1932; she married Leroy Kuehnel in Piggott, Arkansas on September 13, 1949; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Kuehnel worked as Food Director for East Alton School District 13 for over 25 years, retiring in 1991; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Kuehnel was a member of the Roxana Church of the Nazarene; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Kuehnel was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; her parents; and her brothers, William E. and Donald Gene Finn; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Kuehnel is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory G. and Ronna Kuehnel, and David Leroy and Linda Kuehnel; her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Ann and Earl Ziegler; her grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle Beth and Kevin Steiniger, Gregory and Melissa Kuehnel, Philip and Kristin Tate, Christine and Jeff Gibson, Nathan and Amy Ziegler, Tracy and Mike Hard, David Andrew Kuehnel and fiancé Aubrey Watson, and Katie and Joey Cuff; and her great-grandchildren, Morgan, Gregory, Colten Eva, Jake, Joey, Hannah, Jordyn, Megan, Matthew, Mikayla, Sebastian, Jackson, and Grace; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Beth Kuehnel, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Beth Kuehnel as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
