SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jeanne Walters of Alton, who passed away on September 18, 2009; and

WHEREAS, She was born December 7, 1933, in St. Louis, the daughter of Edward and Mildred (Brinkmann) Osseck; she married Robert "Bob" Walters on May 19, 1956, at the St. Louis Cathedral; and

WHEREAS, She prayed the rosary daily and went to daily Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church; she enjoyed animals, especially her dogs and cats, and she loved to play and coach tennis, gardening, and watching her children and grandchildren play sports; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Anthony Osseck; and

WHEREAS, Jeanne Walters is survived by her husband, Robert Walters; her nine children and their spouses, Robert Walters Jr., Jim and Angela Walters, Theresa and Dave Logan, Linda and Justin Scheiter, Tom and Megan Walters, Michael and Polly Ann Walters, Carolyn and Bob McCluskey, Mary Armstrong, and David and Karen Walters; her 21 grandchildren, Jacob, Ellen, and Jonathon Walters, Robert, Christopher, and Patrick Logan, Sydney, Sam, and Jackson Scheiter, Matthew and Ryan Walters, Hannah, Nathan, and Meredith Walters, Andrew and Daniel McCluskey, Alex, Ethan, and Liesa Armstrong, and Valerie and Nina Walters; and her sister, Marilyn Reilly; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Jeanne Walters; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jeanne Walters as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
