HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert L. "Bob" Keller of Marion, who passed away on September 13, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Robert L. "Bob" Keller was born on April 23, 1928, in Marion, to Allie and Jennie America (Lyerla) Keller; he married his sweetheart, Colleen Moore, on October 25, 1947; together they shared almost 62 years of marriage; and

WHEREAS, He was a retired sheet metal worker of Local 268 and owned and operated Keller Heating and Cooling; he began his career working in a Southern Illinois coal mine with his father-in-law, Charles Moore; he was a member of Marion Third Baptist Church, where he was a servant of his Lord Jesus Christ; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of Ainad Shrine Center of East St. Louis and a 32nd degree mason of the Scottish rite; he served as past president of Lincoln Landers Motor Home Association and was a charter member of Family Motor Coach Association; his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, traveling the country with his wife and friends, and driving the school bus for the Marion sports teams; he spent many fun days at his cabin on Benton Lake, and boating and relaxing with friends and family; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his eight brothers and sisters, Delmar Keller, Elizabeth Cooksey, Janieve Queen, Virgil Keller, Mitchell Keller, and three infant sisters; and

WHEREAS, Robert Keller is survived by his wife, Colleen; his sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Jack and Sue Keller and Jerry and Jamie Keller; his daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Logan Anderson; his grandchildren, Mindy and Billy Campbell, Adam Keller, Collette Anderson, and Ethan Anderson; his great-grandson, Israel David Campbell; and his sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Frank Sniderwin; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert Keller; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert L. "Bob" Keller as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
