HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert L.
4 "Bob" Keller of Marion, who passed away on September 13, 2009;
5 and
 
6     WHEREAS, Robert L. "Bob" Keller was born on April 23, 1928,
7 in Marion, to Allie and Jennie America (Lyerla) Keller; he
8 married his sweetheart, Colleen Moore, on October 25, 1947;
9 together they shared almost 62 years of marriage; and
 
10     WHEREAS, He was a retired sheet metal worker of Local 268
11 and owned and operated Keller Heating and Cooling; he began his
12 career working in a Southern Illinois coal mine with his
13 father-in-law, Charles Moore; he was a member of Marion Third
14 Baptist Church, where he was a servant of his Lord Jesus
15 Christ; and
 
16     WHEREAS, He was a member of Ainad Shrine Center of East St.
17 Louis and a 32nd degree mason of the Scottish rite; he served
18 as past president of Lincoln Landers Motor Home Association and
19 was a charter member of Family Motor Coach Association; his
20 greatest joy in life was spending time with his family,
21 traveling the country with his wife and friends, and driving
22 the school bus for the Marion sports teams; he spent many fun

1 days at his cabin on Benton Lake, and boating and relaxing with
2 friends and family; and
 
3     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his eight
4 brothers and sisters, Delmar Keller, Elizabeth Cooksey,
5 Janieve Queen, Virgil Keller, Mitchell Keller, and three infant
6 sisters; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Robert Keller is survived by his wife, Colleen;
8 his sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Jack and Sue Keller and
9 Jerry and Jamie Keller; his daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and
10 Logan Anderson; his grandchildren, Mindy and Billy Campbell,
11 Adam Keller, Collette Anderson, and Ethan Anderson; his
12 great-grandson, Israel David Campbell; and his sister and
13 brother-in-law, Wanda and Frank Sniderwin; therefore, be it
 
14     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert
17 Keller; and be it further
 
18     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to the family of Robert L. "Bob" Keller as a symbol
20 of our sincere sympathy.
