1     AN ACT concerning public health.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and
5 Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 2310-655 as follows:

7     (20 ILCS 2310/2310-655 new)
8     Sec. 2310-655. Technical assistance on playgrounds. The
9 Department of Public Health shall provide technical assistance
10 materials based on guidelines or standards such as the U.S.
11 Consumer Product Safety Commission's guidelines, the U.S.
12 Access Board final guidelines, or the standards of the American
13 Society for Testing and Materials by June 30, 2011. The
14 materials may be available on the Department's website.
15     Nothing in this Section shall be construed as imposing any
16 mandate concerning equipment in restaurants or dwellings.
