SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

5 ILCS 460/150 new

Amends the State Designations Act. Provides for the Secretary of State to establish a program by rule to designate, recognize, and award Illinois communities whose citizens have an outstanding record of blood donation, organ donation, or both.

AN ACT concerning community recognition.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The State Designations Act is amended by adding Section 150 as follows:

(5 ILCS 460/150 new)

Sec. 150. Community blood and organ donor recognition program. The Secretary of State shall establish a program by rule to designate, recognize, and award Illinois communities whose citizens have an outstanding record of blood donation, organ donation, or both.
