SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Robert E. Cherry, IV, on Sunday, January 2, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born on October 30, 1990, to Robert E. and Janina Cherry, III; he was baptized at an early age at St. Sabina Church; and

WHEREAS, Robert was an eighth grade student at St. Ethelreda School; he loved math, and he played drums and sang in the school choir; he was a Boy Scout and played on the Little League baseball team; he was a Deputy Grand Knight, Junior Branch, of the Knights of Peter Claver #192; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Robert E. Cherry, IV, has been deeply felt by many, especially his father and stepmother, Robert E. and Levina Cherry, III; his brother, Darius; his half brother and sisters, Everett, Imani, and Destine'; his great grandmother, Annie Mae Harbour; his grandparents, Leone and Mildred Jackson and Robert E. and Walterine Cherry, Jr.; his uncles, Terry P. Jackson, Keith Jackson, and Kevin Cherry; his aunt, Aleisa Cherry; and his many relatives and friends; he was preceded in death by his mother and his half sister, Chinita Middleton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert E. Cherry, IV, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our sincere condolences.
