SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Robert E. Cherry, IV, on
4 Sunday, January 2, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on October 30, 1990, to Robert E. and
6 Janina Cherry, III; he was baptized at an early age at St.
7 Sabina Church; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Robert was an eighth grade student at St.
9 Ethelreda School; he loved math, and he played drums and sang
10 in the school choir; he was a Boy Scout and played on the
11 Little League baseball team; he was a Deputy Grand Knight,
12 Junior Branch, of the Knights of Peter Claver #192; and
 
13     WHEREAS, The passing of Robert E. Cherry, IV, has been
14 deeply felt by many, especially his father and stepmother,
15 Robert E. and Levina Cherry, III; his brother, Darius; his half
16 brother and sisters, Everett, Imani, and Destine'; his great
17 grandmother, Annie Mae Harbour; his grandparents, Leone and
18 Mildred Jackson and Robert E. and Walterine Cherry, Jr.; his
19 uncles, Terry P. Jackson, Keith Jackson, and Kevin Cherry; his
20 aunt, Aleisa Cherry; and his many relatives and friends; he was
21 preceded in death by his mother and his half sister, Chinita
22 Middleton; therefore, be it
 
23     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
25 Robert E. Cherry, IV, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his
26 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
27 further
 
28     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to his family as an expression of our sincere
30 condolences.
