| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Cody J. Tietz of Plainfield, who | 4 | | passed away on June 6, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Cody Tietz was born in Joliet to Kathy (Vaught) | 6 | | and James "Jim" Tietz on April 6, 1997; he earned his High | 7 | | School diploma from Plainfield North High School with the | 8 | | assistance of his teachers, Beth Ciszek and Candace Coppes; | 9 | | and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Cody Tietz was affectionately called "Code-Man"; | 11 | | despite his many challenges, he was very expressive and could | 12 | | radiate love and warmth; his memory will live on forever in the | 13 | | hearts of those who loved him; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Cody Tietz was a candidate for the Gift of Hope, | 15 | | and his donations will enable others to take their first steps | 16 | | and to see for the first time; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Cody Tietz was preceded in death by his | 18 | | grandparents, Miller and Beverly Vaught and Adolph "Red" | 19 | | Tietz; his aunt, Nan; and his uncle, Jack Petty; and
