SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Cody J. Tietz of Plainfield, who
4passed away on June 6, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cody Tietz was born in Joliet to Kathy (Vaught)
6and James "Jim" Tietz on April 6, 1997; he earned his High
7School diploma from Plainfield North High School with the
8assistance of his teachers, Beth Ciszek and Candace Coppes;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Cody Tietz was affectionately called "Code-Man";
11despite his many challenges, he was very expressive and could
12radiate love and warmth; his memory will live on forever in the
13hearts of those who loved him; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Cody Tietz was a candidate for the Gift of Hope,
15and his donations will enable others to take their first steps
16and to see for the first time; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Cody Tietz was preceded in death by his
18grandparents, Miller and Beverly Vaught and Adolph "Red"
19Tietz; his aunt, Nan; and his uncle, Jack Petty; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Cody Tietz is survived by his parents; his

1sister, Kristin (Matt) Cetta; his niece, Carsyn; his
2grandmother, Caryl Tietz; his aunt and godmother, Sue (Tom)
3Flynn; his godfather, Mike Scarpino; his aunts and uncles, Tom
4(Angela) Tietz, Don (Pam) Tietz, Sue (Mike) Zoppa, and Buddy
5(Denise) Vaught; and his many cousins; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Cody J. Tietz and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Cody Tietz as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
