SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael E. Bulens of Moline, who passed away on June 7, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Michael Bulens was born to Charles and Patricia (Terry) Bulens in Rock Island on May 7, 1954; he graduated from Alleman High School in 1972; he earned his associate's degree from Blackhawk College; he served in the U.S. Air Force; and

WHEREAS, Michael Bulens worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 40 years, where he retired as division chief of Information Technology Operations in 2012; and

WHEREAS, Michael Bulens enjoyed playing golf, volleyball, softball, and basketball; he was an avid fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Green Bay Packers; and

WHEREAS, Michael Bulens was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Michael Bulens is survived by his son, Christopher (Samantha) Bulens; his daughter, Pamela Eastwood; his grandchildren, Juliana Eastwood, Elliana Eastwood, and Beau Bulens; his sister, Kathleen Sparks; his nieces, Stephanie (Jason) Rursch and Heather Sparks; his great-nephew and great-nieces, Brayton, Kynlee, and Emma; and his friend, Terrie Jordan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael E. Bulens and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Bulens as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
