SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Michael E. Bulens of Moline, who
4passed away on June 7, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Bulens was born to Charles and Patricia
6(Terry) Bulens in Rock Island on May 7, 1954; he graduated from
7Alleman High School in 1972; he earned his associate's degree
8from Blackhawk College; he served in the U.S. Air Force; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Michael Bulens worked at the Rock Island Arsenal
10for 40 years, where he retired as division chief of
11Information Technology Operations in 2012; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Michael Bulens enjoyed playing golf, volleyball,
13softball, and basketball; he was an avid fan of the Notre Dame
14Fighting Irish and the Green Bay Packers; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Michael Bulens was preceded in death by his
16parents; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael Bulens is survived by his son,
18Christopher (Samantha) Bulens; his daughter, Pamela Eastwood;
19his grandchildren, Juliana Eastwood, Elliana Eastwood, and
20Beau Bulens; his sister, Kathleen Sparks; his nieces,

1Stephanie (Jason) Rursch and Heather Sparks; his great-nephew
2and great-nieces, Brayton, Kynlee, and Emma; and his friend,
3Terrie Jordan; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Michael E. Bulens and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Michael Bulens as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
