SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

Authorizes the Secretary of Human Services to convey to Centerstone of Illinois the described parcel of land in Union County upon payment of $1.00, subject to specified conditions. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning property.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. Upon the payment of the sum of $1.00, to the Department of Human Services, and subject to the conditions set forth in Section 10 of this Act, the Secretary of Human Services is authorized to convey by quitclaim deed all right, title, and interest in and to the following described parcel of land in Union County, Illinois, to Centerstone of Illinois:

PART OF THE EAST HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE ONE WEST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, CITY OF ANNA, UNION COUNTY, ILLINOIS, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE SAID EAST HALF; THENCE EAST ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID SECTION 17 A DISTANCE OF 66.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 0° 00' EAST A DISTANCE OF 263.75 FEET; THENCE NORTH 0° 15' 54" WEST A DISTANCE OF 810.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 89° 18' 54" EAST A DISTANCE OF 941.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 0° 15' 54" WEST A DISTANCE OF 624.03 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 72° 17' 35" WEST A DISTANCE OF 255.46 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 71° 26' 01" WEST A DISTANCE OF 249.40 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 71° 08' 27" WEST A DISTANCE OF 149.30 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 61° 39' 58" WEST A DISTANCE OF 221.94 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 76° 05' 39" WEST A DISTANCE OF 126.71 FEET; THENCE WEST AN APPROXIMATE DISTANCE OF 66 FEET TO THE WEST LINE OF THE SAID EAST HALF; THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE SAID WEST LINE TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

Section 10. The conveyance of real property authorized by Section 5 shall be made subject to: (1) existing public utilities, existing public roads, and any and all reservations, easements, encumbrances, covenants and restrictions of record; and (2) the express condition that if said real property ceases to be used as an alcohol treatment facility, it shall revert to the State of Illinois, Department of Human Services.

Section 15. The Secretary of Human Services shall obtain a certified copy of the portions of this Act containing the title, the enacting clause, the effective date, the appropriate Section containing the land description of the property to be conveyed, and this Section within 60 days after its effective date and, upon receipt of the payment required by the Section, shall record the certified document in the Recorder's Office in the county in which the land is located.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
