SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Forrest G. Kaufman Jr. of Normal, who passed away on September 18, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Forrest Kaufman Jr. was born in Bloomington to Forrest G. and Frances (Otto) Kaufman Sr. on April 25, 1934; he married Elvira Williamson in Danvers on September 7, 1952; and

WHEREAS, Forrest Kaufman Jr. was the founder and owner of the McLean County Asphalt Company; and

WHEREAS, Forrest Kaufman Jr. was a member of the Elks Lodge #281 and the First Christian Church of Bloomington; and

WHEREAS, Forrest Kaufman Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; one of his brothers, William Kaufman; his sister, Mary Kaufman; and his son-in-law, Terry Park; and

WHEREAS, Forrest Kaufman Jr. is survived by his dearest friend, Janet Waller; his children, Randall (Jean) Kaufman and Linda Park; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Robert) Fleck, Christopher (Carrie) Kaufman, Jillian Andersen, Andrew (Kimberly) Kaufman, and Matthew Kaufman; his great-grandchildren, Jacob Fleck, Adam Fleck, Addison Kaufman, Nathan Kaufman, and Kevin Kaufman; and his brothers, Robert Kaufman and Carl (Karen) Kaufman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Forrest G. Kaufman Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Forrest Kaufman Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
