1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 587
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 587 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much
5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
6 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the
7 General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Northeastern
8 Illinois University to meet the ordinary and contingent
9 expenses of Northeastern Illinois University for the fiscal
10 year ending June 30, 2000.
11 For Personal Services, including payment
12 to the University for personal services
13 costs incurred during the fiscal year .......... $31,138,400
14 For State Contribution to Social Security .... 300,000
15 For Contractual Services ..................... 1,750,000
16 For Travel ................................... 140,000
17 For Commodities .............................. 400,000
18 For Equipment and Library Books .............. 984,100
19 For Telecommunication Services ............... -0-
20 For Operation of Automotive Equipment ........ -0-
21 For Awards and Grants and Matching Funds ..... -0-
22 For Permanent Improvements ................... -0-
23 Total $34,712,500

4 Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Northeastern
5 Illinois University to meet the ordinary and contingent
6 expenses of Northeastern Illinois University for the fiscal
7 year ending June 30, 2000:
8 For Personal Services, including payment
9 to the University for personal services costs
10 incurred during the fiscal year ................ $5,800,000
11 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
12 1, 1999.".
