1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4563
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 4563, by deleting
3 everything after the enacting clause and inserting the
4 following:
5 "Section 5. In addition to any amount previously or
6 elsewhere appropriated, the sum of $1,000,000, or so much
7 thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
8 Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for costs
9 associated with the Jobs for Illinois Graduates Program.
10 Section 10. In addition to any amount previously or
11 elsewhere appropriated, the sum of $1,000,000, or so much
12 thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
13 Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for funding the
14 Urban Education Partnership Grants.
15 Section 15. The sum of $1,258,000, or so much thereof as
16 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
17 Fund to the State Board of Education for a grant to East St.
18 Louis District 189 for the purpose of hiring school social
19 workers.
20 Section 20. The sum of $5,150,000, or so much thereof as
21 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
22 Fund to the State Board of Education for a grant to East St.

1 Louis District 189 for the planning, design, and construction
2 of an early childhood center.
3 Section 25. The sum of $200,000, or so much thereof as
4 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
5 Fund to the State Board of Education for planning Grants.
6 Section 30. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as
7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
8 Fund to the State Board of Education for a grant to East St.
9 Louis District 189 for student business services.
10 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
11 July 1, 2000.".
