1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3132
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3132 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 11 and 12 with the following:
4 "determine to change the method of electing the board of
5 county commissioners by electing either 3 or 5 members from
6 single"; and
7 on page 1, by replacing lines 16 through 18 with the
8 following:
9 "Commissioners may not be elected from single member
10 districts until the question of electing either 3 or 5
11 commissioners from single"; and
12 on page 1, by replacing line 27 with the following:
13 "county) consist of (insert either 3 or 5) commissioners
14 elected from single"; and
15 on page 1, by replacing line 31 with the following:
16 "in the affirmative, a 3-member or 5-member board of county
17 commissioners, as the case may be,"; and
18 on page 2, line 3, by replacing "5" with "either 3 or 5";
19 and
20 on page 2, lines 4 and 5, by replacing "General Assembly
21 shall, by law," with "board of county commissioners shall";

2 on page 2, line 7, by replacing "5" with "either 3 or 5"; and
3 on page 2, line 20, immediately after "(d)", by inserting the
4 following:
5 "If the voters of the county decide to elect 5 commissioners
6 from single member districts,"; and
7 on page 2, line 20, by replacing "At" with "at" ; and
8 on page 2, by replacing line 34 with the following:
9 "lot, shall divide the districts into 2 groups. One group";
10 and
11 on page 3, by replacing lines 1 and 2 with the following:
12 "shall serve terms of 4 years, 4 years, and 2 years and one
13 group shall serve terms of 2".
