| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert Lewis "Bob" Bonnett of Milan, who | 4 | | passed away on October 18, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bonnett was born in Buffalo, Iowa to Lewis and | 6 | | Violette Shoemaker Bonnett on August 21, 1926; he served in the | 7 | | U.S. Army; he married Elaine Marie Fitzpatrick on January 26, | 8 | | 1946, and she preceded him in death on March 17, 1991; he | 9 | | married Shirley Daniels-Faramelli on June 6, 1992; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bonnett and Elaine founded Bonnett Wholesale | 11 | | Florist in Milan in 1954; it became a successful business in | 12 | | which he was actively involved until his last years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bonnett was a member of First Presbyterian | 14 | | Church in Milan; he was a member of the Chevrolet Nomad | 15 | | Association and the GMC Motorhome Club; he enjoyed gardening, | 16 | | traveling, and attending the national Nomad Conventions; he | 17 | | also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, | 18 | | especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he was a | 19 | | collector of Nomads and enjoyed long car rides; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bonnett was preceded in death by his parents; | 21 | | his first wife, Elaine; his daughter, Robin Ciccotelli; his |

| 1 | | sister, June; his brother, Richard "Dick"; and his | 2 | | great-granddaughter, Chelsey Weldon; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Bob Bonnett is survived by his wife, Shirley; his | 4 | | children, Gregory (Debbie) Bonnett, Glynn (Diane Steele-Kies) | 5 | | Bonnett, Taylor Ridge, and Kent (Pattie) Bonnett; his stepson, | 6 | | John Faramelli; his grandchildren, Allison, Kimberly, Velvet, | 7 | | Beth, Melissa, Jaime, Anthony, and John; his step-grandson, | 8 | | Ashton; 16 great-grandchildren; several | 9 | | great-great-grandchildren; and his son-in-law, Gino | 10 | | Ciccotelli; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Robert Lewis "Bob" Bonnett and extend our sincere condolences | 14 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 15 | | it further
