HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Cutter Kirgan, a seventh grader at Pleasant Hill Junior High School in Pleasant Hill, on placing first in the shot put competition at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 7th Grade Boys State Track and Field Meet; and

WHEREAS, Cutter Kirgan finished first place in shot put with a distance of 11.05 meters; and

WHEREAS, Cutter Kirgan also participated in the discus throw event, placing second with a distance of 114 feet and one inch; and

WHEREAS, Due to his exceptional performance at the State Track and Field Meet, Cutter Kirgan was named the Field Event MVP; and

WHEREAS, Cutter Kirgan was led by Coaches Pamela Roach and Geoffrey Giles; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Cutter Kirgan on his accomplishments at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 7th Grade Boys State Track and Field Meet, and we wish him continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Cutter Kirgan as an expression of our esteem and respect.
