| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Madelynn Nicole "Maddy" McInerney of | 4 | | Libertyville, who passed away on November 25, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Madelynn McInerney was born to F. Dave and Leigh | 6 | | Anne (Dietrich) McInerney on February 26, 1999; she was a | 7 | | junior at Libertyville High School, where she was active with | 8 | | choir and involved in cheerleading and with the bowling team; | 9 | | and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Madelynn McInerney participated in various cancer | 11 | | organization fundraisers; she worked with the St. Balderick's | 12 | | Foundation for Childhood Cancer in sixth and eighth grade and | 13 | | was a spokesperson for the local fundraiser in 2016; she was | 14 | | the Courage winner for Voices Against Brain Cancer in 2015 and | 15 | | honored for her bravery in 2016 at the inaugural BrainUp | 16 | | Chicago 5K Run/Walk in Chicago; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Madelynn McInerney was preceded in death by her | 18 | | grandfather, Poppy Frank McInerney, and her aunt, Nicole Besch; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Madelynn McInerney is survived by her parents; her | 21 | | sister, Anya; her brothers, Jordan and John McInerney; her |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Madelynn Nicole "Maddy" McInerney, and extend our sincere | 8 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 9 | | her; and be it further
