SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to congratulate the Washington Middle School boys relay team, the Warriors, on its success at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association Class 4A State Track & Field Championships; and

WHEREAS, The Warriors won the Mens 4A 7th Grade 4x200 Relay with a time of 1:41.68a, setting a new state record; and

WHEREAS, The Warriors also won the Mens 4A 7th Grade 4x400 Relay with a time of 3:52.65a; and

WHEREAS, The Warriors are led by Head Coach Charles Ruble; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Warriors relay team are Jeremiah Williams, Amani Wright, James Houlihan, Kevron House, Kolade Abitogun, Bryson Tate, and Kamden Ray; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Washington Middle School boys relay team, the Warriors, on its success at the 2024 Illinois Elementary School Association Class 4A State Track & Field Championships, and we wish them many more successful seasons; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Warriors as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
