| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mark Joseph Gallagher of Beach Park, who | 4 | | passed away on October 8, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mark Gallagher was born in Waukegan to James E. | 6 | | and Mary Jean (Bure) Gallagher on January 26, 1956; he | 7 | | graduated from Carmel High School in Mundelein; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Mark Gallagher was a respected ironworker, honing | 9 | | his world renowned welding skills in the shipyards of | 10 | | Pascagoula, Mississippi in the 1970s before becoming a lifelong | 11 | | fixture in his family's business at North Chicago Iron Works in | 12 | | North Chicago; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Mark Gallagher volunteered at Public Action to | 14 | | Deliver Shelter (PADS) and was a member of the North Chicago | 15 | | Lions Club; he enjoyed spending time with his friends and | 16 | | family, tinkering with old cars and motorcycles, fishing, | 17 | | bowling, gardening, puzzles, playing Scrabble, cards, | 18 | | listening to jazz music, and murder mysteries; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Mark Gallagher was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Mark Gallagher is survived by his wife, Darlene | 2 | | (Salimitari); his former spouse, Julie (Robbins); his | 3 | | children, Steven (Cristi), Christopher, Sarah (Caleb), and | 4 | | Megan (Chris); his stepdaughters, Deatrice, Candice, and | 5 | | Sarah; his grandchildren, Cassidy, Taylor, Robbie, Olivia, | 6 | | Christopher, Cody, and Connor; and an assortment of nieces, | 7 | | nephews, siblings, and other extended family; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Mark Joseph Gallagher and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
