SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Louis Keith Louck of Moline, who passed away on December 8, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Louis Louck was born to Louis K. Louck Sr. and Charlotte (Lomax) Louck on October 4, 1942; he attended Rock Island High School; he entered the U.S. Army in 1960, serving for two tours in Vietnam, retiring in 1980; he married JoAnn Dempsey in Rock Island on February 8, 1963; and

WHEREAS, Louis Louck worked as an equipment specialist for the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring after 35 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Louis Louck was an avid fan of Michigan College football and of cars of all kinds; he especially loved his dogs, Peanuts and Max; and

WHEREAS, Louis Louck was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judith Brems; and

WHEREAS, Louis Louck is survived by his wife of 60 years, JoAnn; his sons, Jeff Louck and Mike (Connie) Louck; his granddaughters, Kourtney Milling and Teigan Mowder; his sister, Debbie Rewerts; his brother, Greg (Amy) Lock; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Louis Keith Louck and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Louis Louck as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
