SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Clyde D. McKenrick of Moline, who
4passed away on November 9, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clyde McKenrick was born to Homer and Mary
6McKenrick on February 13, 1929 and was raised on the family
7farm near Low Moor, Iowa; he attended Low Moor and Malone
8Elementary Schools, Elvira High School, and Coe College; he
9married Frances Lois McKenrick at Low Moor Methodist Church in
10Low Moor, Iowa on December 23, 1949; he served in the U.S. Army
11in Korea and at Wolters Air Force Base in Texas with the
12Special Category Army with Air Force from 1952 and 1953; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Clyde McKenrick worked at Curtis Brothers
14Woodwork from 1948 to 1952 and from 1953 to 1966, Standard
15Brands, also known as Clinton Corn Processing Co., from 1966
16to 1982, and Indiana Sugars from 1982 to 1991; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Clyde McKenrick was a member of Riverside United
18Methodist Church, Camanche Masonic Lodge #60 A.F.A.M., where
19was a past master and 50-year member, Clinton Scottish Rite
20Bodies, Low Moor O.E.S., where he was a past patron, and the
21Korean War Veterans Association, where he served as the
22Illinois state secretary in 2014; and

1    WHEREAS, Clyde McKenrick was preceded in death by his
2parents; two children; a great-granddaughter; a brother; and a
3niece; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Clyde McKenrick is survived by his wife; his
5children, Beth E. Morrison and Gary D. (Kathryn) McKenrick;
6his grandchildren, Trisha A. (David) Hey, Brian K. (Erin)
7McKenrick, Patrick (Jami) Morrison, Richard Morrison, Amy
8Morrison, and Ann (Blake) Morrison; 12 great-grandchildren;
9and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Clyde D. McKenrick and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Clyde McKenrick as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
