SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Earl C. LeGrand of Florissant, Missouri, who passed away on May 1, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Earl LeGrand was born on October 11, 1958, and he was raised in Florissant, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, Earl LeGrand was a hard-working man and a skilled, experienced professional who spent more than 40 years in the trucking business, including with Dayton Freight; and

WHEREAS, Earl LeGrand enjoyed fishing and loved hunting; he also enjoyed spending time with nearby friends and family; and

WHEREAS, Earl LeGrand was a reliable and outgoing man known for his lively personality; he was a great friend who could be counted on to offer help when it was needed; he was a devoted and attentive father who supported his children's endeavors and instilled in them a strong work ethic; and

WHEREAS, Earl LeGrand is survived by his daughter, Amy Marie LeGrand, and his son, Corbin Michael LeGrand; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Earl C. LeGrand and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Earl LeGrand as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
