SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Arpp of Villa Park, who passed away on July 3, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Bob Arpp was born on December 20, 1930; he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he was a longtime resident of Villa Park; and

WHEREAS, Bob Arpp was a fraternal member of Union Local 597 Pipefitters; he was also a member of the Villa Park Lions Club; and

WHEREAS, Bob Arpp was fond of his beloved dog, Benji; and

WHEREAS, Bob Arpp was the husband of Christine (Wilkinson) Arpp for 65 years; the father of Cyndi (Arthur Jr.) Tancl, Curtis (Suzanna) Arpp, and Correne (Robert) Thiel Jr.; the grandfather of Arthur III (Amanda) Tancl and Jacob (fiancée, Michelle Craig) Thiel; and the great-grandfather of Gabriella, Grant, and Griffin Tancl; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert "Bob" Arpp and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Arpp as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
