1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Department of Veterans' Affairs Act is
5 amended by adding Section 40 as follows:

6     (20 ILCS 2805/40 new)
7     Sec. 40. Notice of veterans and service members' benefits,
8 services, and protections. The Department shall create, and
9 the Department of Labor shall make available, at no cost, a
10 veterans and service members' benefits, services, and
11 protections poster. Such a poster shall include, but not be
12 limited to, information regarding the following:
13         (1) Free veterans' benefits and services provided by
14     the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and other
15     veterans service organizations;
16         (2) Tax benefits;
17         (3) Illinois veteran driver's license and non-driver
18     veteran identification card;
19         (4) Illinois protections for survivors of sexual
20     violence in the military; and
21         (5) Contact information for the following:
22             (i) The United States Department of Veterans
23         Affairs;

1             (ii) The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs;
2         and
3             (iii) The Veterans Crisis Line.

4     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
5 1, 2025.
