SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lenore R. Iwan of Lindenhurst, formerly of Wadsworth, who passed away on July 13, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Lenore Iwan was born in Waukegan to Lillian and Joseph Kenar; and

WHEREAS, Lenore Iwan retired from Lake Forest College; and

WHEREAS, Lenore Iwan was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth and the Polish Legion of American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary; one of her hobbies was entering sweepstakes, and she won many trips and a new car; she loved attending her grandchildren's events and traveling, especially to casinos throughout the country with her husband; and

WHEREAS, Lenore Iwan was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Rhonda Marie Cashmore; and

WHEREAS, Lenore Iwan is survived by her husband of 33 years, Stanley; her children, David Cashmore, Randy (Kristin) Cashmore, and Kevin (Liz Peterson) Cashmore; her grandchildren, Zachary Cashmore, Nathan Cashmore, Abigail Cashmore, Kristopher Cashmore, Emily McKee, Madeline McKee, Brian McKee, and Kathleen McKee; and her brother, Lawrence Kenar; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lenore R. Iwan and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
