SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George H. Noud of Shirley, who passed
4away on October 19, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Noud was born to William and Ruth (Olson)
6Noud in Madison on July 31, 1930; he earned a degree in
7business administration from Southern Illinois University; he
8served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he
9married Anne L. Pagel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in
10Bloomington on April 27, 1968; and
 
11    WHEREAS, George Noud worked for the State Farm Insurance
12Company in Underwriting and Management Planning for 38 years,
13retiring in 1996; and
 
14    WHEREAS, George Noud served as a Dale Township Trustee for
15several years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, George Noud was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic
17Church where he was part of the St. Vincent DePaul Society; he
18was a member of various professional organizations, including
19the National Association of Business Economists; and
 
20    WHEREAS, George Noud enjoyed traveling and helping on the

1farm for several years with the planting and harvesting; and
 
2    WHEREAS, George Noud was preceded in death by his parents;
3his seven brothers; and his two sisters; and
 
4    WHEREAS, George Noud is survived by his wife, Anne; his
5daughter, Annette (Jeremy) Laskowski; and his grandchildren,
6Jake Laskowski, Cole Laskowski, Sydney Bickerstaff, and Luke
7Laskowski; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10George H. Noud and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of George Noud as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
