SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of George H. Noud of Shirley, who passed away on October 19, 2020; and

WHEREAS, George Noud was born to William and Ruth (Olson) Noud in Madison on July 31, 1930; he earned a degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University; he served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he married Anne L. Pagel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bloomington on April 27, 1968; and

WHEREAS, George Noud worked for the State Farm Insurance Company in Underwriting and Management Planning for 38 years, retiring in 1996; and

WHEREAS, George Noud served as a Dale Township Trustee for several years; and

WHEREAS, George Noud was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where he was part of the St. Vincent DePaul Society; he was a member of various professional organizations, including the National Association of Business Economists; and

WHEREAS, George Noud enjoyed traveling and helping on the farm for several years with the planting and harvesting; and

WHEREAS, George Noud was preceded in death by his parents; his seven brothers; and his two sisters; and

WHEREAS, George Noud is survived by his wife, Anne; his daughter, Annette (Jeremy) Laskowski; and his grandchildren, Jake Laskowski, Cole Laskowski, Sydney Bickerstaff, and Luke Laskowski; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of George H. Noud and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Noud as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
