SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald Lee "Ron" Sparks of Bloomington, who passed away on September 15, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Ron Sparks was born in LeRoy to Wayne and Elsie Hart Sparks on April 7, 1938; he married Carol Tudor on September 21, 1958, and she preceded him in death in 1986; he married Marilyn Gregory in Las Vegas on September 7, 1987; and

WHEREAS, Ron Sparks owned Sparky's Home Improvement; and

WHEREAS, Ron Sparks was a member of the Bloomington Corvette Club and served in the United States Army Reserve; and

WHEREAS, Ron Sparks was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol; his infant son, Ronald D. Sparks; and his nephew, Rick Sparks; and

WHEREAS, Ron Sparks is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his daughter, Angela Sparks; his grandchildren, Josh, J.R., Austin, and Destiny Prewitt; and nine great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald Lee "Ron" Sparks and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ron Sparks as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
