SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Douglas "Doug" R. Peden of Bloomington, who passed away on September 6, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Doug Peden was born to Ray and Catherine Claggett Peden in Bloomington on January 11, 1947; he graduated from Bloomington High School and served in the U.S. Army; and

WHEREAS, Doug Peden worked as a truck driver for Conway Trucking for 23 years; and

WHEREAS, Doug Peden loved to hunt and ride his Harley; he enjoyed spending time with his family and being a part of his grandchildren's lives; and

WHEREAS, Doug Peden is survived by his mother; his five children, Douglas Peden, Heather (John) Needles, Jeremy (Ashley) Peden, Adam (Amy) Peden, and Christopher Peden; his brother, George Peden; his sister, Mary Carson; his 12 grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; and his two nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Douglas "Doug" R. Peden and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Doug Peden as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
