SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James "Jim" R. Adamson of Rock Island, who passed away on August 16, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Jim Adamson was born to LeRoy and Clara (Nelson) Adamson in Burlington, Iowa on March 14, 1944; he married Patricia "Patty" J. Moore in Wheaton on July 2, 1971; he was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam Era; and

WHEREAS, Jim Adamson was the owner and operator of Adamson Accounting in Moline; he retired in 2007; and

WHEREAS, Jim Adamson was a former member of the Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley; and

WHEREAS, Jim Adamson enjoyed golfing and woodworking; and

WHEREAS, Jim Adamson is survived by his wife, Patty; his children and their families, Christy (Glen) Sancken and Abby and Kara, Steve (Monica) Adamson and Blake and Breanne, Erin (Dean) Magee and Jackson and Adelyn, and Mike (Whitney) Adamson and Brady and Caleb; and his brother, Dick (Carol) Adamson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James "Jim" R. Adamson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jim Adamson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
