SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Gary M. Wilson of Moline, who passed away on May 13, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Gary Wilson was born to John and Esther (Galusha) Wilson in Rock Island on March 30, 1940; he was a United States Air Force Veteran; and

WHEREAS, Gary Wilson had various jobs and worked for the Rock Island Lines, Steel Company, and in landscaping and in greenhouses, with his final position at the Rock Island Botanical Center in Rock Island; and

WHEREAS, Gary Wilson enjoyed gardening and writing poetry; and

WHEREAS, Gary Wilson was preceded in death by his brothers, Theodore, Patrick, Ronald, Gerald, and Derald; and

WHEREAS, Gary Wilson is survived by his children, Cheryl, Winifred, Johanna, and John; his several grandchildren; his sisters, Judy Moore, Joy Wilson, and Hazel Wilson; his brother, Herbert Wilson; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Gary M. Wilson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gary Wilson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
