SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard E. Rath of Lake Jackson, Texas, who passed away on January 20, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Richard Rath was born in Vergennes to Joe and Alta (Spencer) Rath on March 13, 1932; he was a retired Air Force veteran; and

WHEREAS, Richard Rath is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Foster; his son, Curtis (Tracy) Rath; his grandchildren, Trenton (Ashley), Taryn Rath, and Chelsea (James) McClure; his sister, Verna Bastien; his brother, Howard Rath; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Williams, Carol Smith, and Barbra Donegan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Richard E. Rath and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Rath as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
